Market Competition Remains Unseasonably Strong

With the highly anticipated spring home buying season kicking off next month, there is a record-low number of homes on the market.

And the problem is getting exponentially worse as buyers scramble for places to live—and the inventory of available homes on the market just keeps dropping. Last month, there were just 408,922 homes for sale in the entire country of more than 332 million people, according to the latest® and U.S. Census Bureau data.
